Back in the Game

By sheer luck, a change in schedule allowed me to play a game with the guys again for one day. This week, we decided to forego the scheduled Robotech and play a one-shot game of Mage: the Sorcerer's Crusade set in the Medeival Ages.

I have to admit that I've stayed away from this game because I found the system...hard; I was right. I played an Arabian Void Explorer which is another word for "journeyman". I was part of a group that didn't belive in "magic" per se. Rather, we believed that things could be manipulated through certain probabilities and theorems. Turns out I shoudl have been a...well, I can't really remember. Oh, well.

I should really stick to Vampire.

On Our Way to San Fernando

Here's a picutre of my mom, my brother and our neighbor PJ eating breakfast at Chowking. We are on our way to San Fernando, Pampanga for Good Friday. It was a little hard to find something to eat that did not have meat. So we ended up breakfasting on garlic rice and fried bangus.

I was going to take picutres of the met who walk the streets whipping their backs to a bloody mess. But I think it would have been morbid to do so. I remember my lola telling me that it was just ketchup when I was little and my cousins joking about spraying alcohol at their backs when I knew it was real.

I don't really believe in this method of penance. I think that if you do something wrong, you should make up for it with actions that benefit those who have suffered.

Wrong on So Many Levels

For my birthday, I received the most unexpected (as well as the most expensive gift) I have ever had in my adult life. Sam - may gay friend - bought me a year's subscription to FHM...after days of worrying that my mom would burn it as soon as it was delivered to our home.

For those of you who don't know, FHM (For Him Magazine) is a publication for straight men. Now do you see the irony?

It took me a while to convince Sam to pose with the magazine. Mainly because he felt that "it was wrong on so many levels". LOL But I managed to catch him in the act.

Of course, he had to wash his hands afterwards. Something about getting infected with hetrosexuality.

I'm Mr. Fantastic?

Looks like I'm Mr. Fantastic. Funny, of all the superheroes, I've often overlooked him because he (and his family) just didn't seem interesting, really. Still, I can understand why the program would choose him.

Goodbye...But Only For Now

I'm saying goodbye to my gaming buddies again because the demands of work require I be at the office during our usual hours of play. Goodbye but only for now. Hopefully, I'll be able to join them again after a few months. By then, I'll be raring to go. Thanks for a wonderful time, boys! Until next time.

Graduation from IST

Two weeks in boot camp. How time flies! IST (Initial Supervisor Training) is actually the first half. The other part is practicum which I have 6 months to shape up my team. Here are some pictures, of the last day.

My Birthday Party

I know it's late but I've been busy. I should have put this up on the weekend after it happened but I was tired and had things to do. It's hard being a Supervisor Trainee. Anyway, here are the pictures. It was held on Feb. 12 at Friday's in Glorietta. Thanks to Arvin for securing us a seat there.

All in all, I had a great time. Thanks for coming, people! I hope we can do it again next year.
